The resignation letter generator writes three letters for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. Each one quotes your country's labour law, so your employer sees you know the rule. You can change every word before you send it.
- Resignation letter: formal notice, the notice period your country asks for, your last working day, a handover line and a polite request to confirm your final settlement.
- Final settlement request: a short letter on or after your last day that lists what you are owed (end of service, unused leave, unpaid salary, notice pay, ticket) and the date the law sets for payment.
- Complaint draft: if the dues are not paid, text you copy into the labour ministry's own app or website. We never file anything for you.

What a good resignation letter says
- Clear words: "Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation". Nothing that sounds like you are only thinking about it.
- The date and the notice: the day you give it and the notice in days or months, so the last working day is not in doubt.
- The law: the article on notice in your country. It is polite and it shows you know your rights.
- Your final settlement: a request to confirm it in writing, with the date the law sets for payment.
- No complaints in it: keep it short and thankful. Problems go in a separate letter.
Hand it over in person and ask for a signed, dated copy, and send it by email too so the date is on record. Bahrain is the one country whose law says how: against a signature or by registered letter (Article 100). In Saudi Arabia, also file it as a resignation request in Qiwa. Final settlement request letter
Send it on your last working day or soon after. List every item, add your own estimate if you have one, and ask for the calculation in writing. If the employer deducts something, ask for the reason in writing. This letter is also your proof later: it shows you asked, and when.
Complaint to the labour ministry: the draft
If the pay-by date passes and nothing is paid, try once more in writing, then complain. The draft sets out who you are, the dates, what is unpaid and what you ask for, in plain words a ministry officer reads quickly. Copy it into the official channel for your country (in the table above), attach your contract and payslips, and keep the reference number. Do not wait: some countries set a time limit, for example 2 years in the UAE and 1 year in Kuwait.

How much notice do I give in my resignation letter?
What your contract says, but never less than the law asks: UAE 30 to 90 days, Saudi Arabia 30 days from the worker, Qatar 1 month in the first 2 years and 2 months after, Kuwait 3 months, Oman 30 days for a monthly-paid worker, Bahrain 30 days. Does a resignation letter have to be in writing?
Send it in writing everywhere in the Gulf, even where the law does not spell it out. A written, dated letter is your proof of the day the notice started. Keep a signed copy or the email you sent.

When should I ask for my final settlement in writing?
In your resignation letter, and again with the final settlement request on or after your last working day. A dated request helps if you later need to complain.
Does GulfDues file my complaint with the ministry?
No. The complaint draft is text for you to copy into the official channel yourself (for example the MOHRE app in the UAE). GulfDues is not a government service and sends nothing anywhere.
Can my employer refuse my resignation?
Both sides can agree in writing to a shorter notice. In Saudi Arabia a resignation counts as accepted if the employer does not answer within 30 days, but the employer can postpone it by up to 60 days in writing. Leaving early without agreement can cost you notice pay, so check the rule for your country first.
Is this letter legal advice?
No. It is a clear template that follows the published law. Change it to fit your contract, and ask the labour ministry or a lawyer about a hard case.
